These are suggestions, you are free to do the complete circuits or adapt them to your liking, depending on what you want: browse our beautiful landscapes, visit the monuments, take a hike, bask in the water. .

Around Pensol
Short circuit - 50 km
Starting from the Old House, enjoy a quiet day visiting the surroundings
Stop at the Château de Montbrun, visit it if you want, remembering to book beforehand (contact us)
Then go to Miallet to walk along the dam lake (nice walk, and meetings with birds)
For a moment of relaxation after a good walk, enjoy the bucolic setting of the Grand Etang de Saint Saud Lacoussière. You can swim, have a drink, eat a waffle or an ice cream ...
In Abjat sur Bandiat, you can discover a pretty little village, and its hiking trails. A few steps from the village, discover the analemmatic sundial at Puizillou.
On the road to Marval stop in front of the Château de Ballerand and discover a curious site, unfinished for years.
Daily - 110 km
In Limoges, discover a little-known but charming city. Walk the streets of the old center, discover the Saint Etienne cathedral and the bishop's gardens, visit the distillery of the center, or the museum of casseaux…
Leaving from Limoges, visit the abbey church of St Pierre de Solignac, then in Nexon, the Château park (town hall) and the garden of the senses,
In St Maurice les brousses, go get baby madeleines!
Then, on the way back, discover the village of Rilhac-Latour, with its medieval castle under reconstruction, the small chapel on its promontory.
Passing through the village of "cars", you will also have plenty to visit: the church and its reliquary, the stables and the castle ruins…. And you can buy socks at the Broussaud factory.

Oradour sur Glane
Day trip - 132 km
If you don't know Oradour sur Glane yet, now is the time to go.Certainly, it is not a very joyful visit, but how to be so close and miss this visit from historical memory.
On the road, you can stop at Rochechouart to visit the castle which has become a modern art exhibition center. And why not a city tour?
Then Saint Junien will welcome you with its shopping center, and the famous "Corot site". In good weather, this pretty walk along the Glane, will take you in the footsteps of JB Corot, and his inspirations. (To see also during the course "at the gates of Charente")
Very close to Oradour, there are the 2 pretty villages of Mortemart (most beautiful village in France) and Montrol-Senart, where you can discover France before, by browsing the village and the reconstructions of homes and shops. yesteryear.
For the visit of Oradour, it takes at least 2 hours ...
The return route, through Cognac la Forêt, will make you enjoy the beautiful Limousin landscapes.
"At the gates of the Charente"

This circuit will take you to the west of the department, on the borders of the Charente Limousine.
Peyrassoulat, where the discovery of a magnificent site guarded by century-old plane trees.
Cheronnac, the source of the Charente.

A few kilometers from Pensol, discover the "saut du Chalard" site:a walk of a few kilometers to discover the emblematic river of the Périgord Vert, the Dronne, fresh and alive!
While passing in St Pardoux la Rivière, discover a small pleasant village, and the departure of the green way towards St Jean de Côle.
In Villars, discover the famous prehistoric caves and the Puyguilhem castle.

Brantôme, the green Venice of Périgord Vert, will seduce you. Surrounded by the Dronne, you will discover the troglodyte abbey, you can make a boat, canoe, enjoy your meal at the water's edge ... Unmissable.
If you have time, go to Bourdeilles, and discover a very pretty village with its 2 castles, its mill, its medieval alleys….
Closer to Pensol, walk the streets of Nontron and discover the city of the knife (Nontron knife factory). Visit the art exhibition center, take a walk on the viaduct….
If you like knives and old crafts, go to the Lapeyre mill and find out how an enthusiast renovated this old mill to make it a very pleasant place to discover old crafts and cutlery.
Passing Piégut Pluviers, discover the tower, and every Wednesday morning a great market! Many local merchants and artisans will welcome you to help you discover the good products of Périgord.
St Yriex la Perche - Arédien country

In Miallet, stroll around the dam lake, and discover a place of tranquility to discover birds.

In La Rochebeaucourt-et-Argentine, the limestone plateau of Argentina, a site classified as "Natura 2000" is part of the network of natural sites in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park. It contains many treasures: an exceptional variety of flora and fauna (Common Nighthawk, Red-backed Shrike, Ocellated Lizard, wild orchids, etc.), quarries, a hilltop village. Guided by the Alouette, take the time to discover its riches along a path dotted with explanatory panels. Departure: parking on the Argentinian plateau (follow the Alouette). Distance: 6 km.
